Understanding an AEG Guide

Lets find out - Read On. |
| For those who have never played Airsoft (survival
game), when they first see the Airsoft Electric Gun (AEG), they
will ask “Is it a real firearm?” “Does it harm
people?” Also, there are a lot negative issues show that the
AEG can be redeveloped on news to mistaken and given the wrong concept
to the public; furthermore, the public will consider AEG equals
redevelopment toy gun. Therefore, to let everyone know the operational
principle of AEG, we have listed descriptions as followed to clarify
the differences between firearm and AEG. Also, we want to promote
Airsoft to everywhere in the world and let it become a favorite
and popular sport. |
 |
| All AEG's operate by a battery (above) that provides electrical
power to the motor to drive the gear set (below). |
| Airsoft Electric Gun, AEG, it seems like the firearm, but its
operational principle is totally different than the firearm. AEG
operates by a battery and provides electrical power to motor to
drive gear set. While gear set is driven by motor, the piston is
driven backwards by gears and the spring in the piston provides
backwards tension at the same time. Use the air inside the cylinder
and the tension in the piston to push the elevated BBs out of barrel.
In the other hand, firearm operates by firing pin to hit the percussion
cap of a bullet. |
 |
| The gear box mainly comprises a miter gear, a reduction
gear, and a half-toothed gear sequentially rotated by a motor to
drive the piston device. The half-toothed gear has a periphery,
multiple teeth partially formed on the periphery, and an idle area
formed on a remainder of the periphery. Thereby, when the teeth
engage with the toothed rack to run with the half-toothed gear,
the piston device is driven to a compressed condition . When the
trigger is pulled, the trigger will be pushed against the switch.
The switch is accommodated at the front end inside the gear box
and composed of a movable block and a stationary block. When the
trigger is pulled to make the upper abutting block push the movable
block, the moveable block moves forward to touch the stationary
block to achieve an electrical connection. Then, the electrical
motor is activated to drive the gear set and drive the piston closer
to the rear end of the upper gear box to compress the spring. When
the half-toothed gear enters the idle area, the piston is released
to punch a projectile. |

description of AEG (below). |

Modified by 21st Century Airsoft actual operating perameters may vary
from Manufacturer to Manufacturer. However, the basic working function
of the AEG is the same for all manufacturers.
